Sunshine
Oh how the kids love the sunshine! Our dining room faces south and it's the warmest, sunniest spot for the girls (and boy!) to play. We moved our table against a wall and now we've got so much more room to stretch out in the beautiful light. After breakfast, Maddie will open the curtains and lie there on the floor. Abbie follows suit. Brayton is now able to stand in his exersaucer (YAY!) and likes to coo at the girls while I clean up table and start the morning dishes (I'd love to think I do dishes after breakfast each morning, but it depends on everyone's mood). The girls eventually get their clothes and shoes on and play in the back yard. Sunshine makes us all happy.
Madeline decided that she wanted to stick her feet in some dirt. I figured it had been awhile since she felt dirt between her toes. She's washable.
Abbie enjoyed the chalk and sitting on her sister's bike. She couldn't pedal, but she was sure proud that she could climb up there.
Brayton stayed inside with me and showed me how much drool he can produce. He's a sweet, mellow boy...and don't his ears look cute? :)

Don't you LOVE seeing the sun in February!
So much fun! I really like the picture of Brayton ... Sun even makes photos look better.
Yes, Brayton has cute ears! And I am SOOOOO jealous! We may have winter, but you have sunshine and grass! We miss you guys being a sled ride away too...it's just not the same without you guys here.
I have noticed the sun is coming in our dining room doors more in the afternoon...it's great! The other day, I was in the sun upstairs and I actually got hot! I love it! I think being from Alaska, we appreciate it so much more than people from other places.
I love the feeling of cool dirt in my toes in the fresh sunny air! Can't wait, though I have too because our cool dirt would give me frostbite! Enjoy the sunshine (and the kiddos in it)!
Blessings,
Stephanie
Fun! Savannah had big ears like that too. We love to play in the sun as well - I can't wait for Spring/Summer.
