Artists' Hats

"Mom, when I grow up I want to be an artist." Maddie said during finger painting time today.
"You can be an artist right now, you don't have to wait to grow up." I said.
"OK! Well I need an artist hat then." Maddie said matter-of-factly.
"A beret?" I asked.
"Yes, and Abbie wants one too. Can you get our berets please?"

And I dug through their dress up drawer and found two.

And they painted and painted.

That is so cute! They both look like true artists! Out of curiosity, what paint do you use??

Thanks Stacey! We've got Crayola finger paints (I picked them up for free with coupon overages) and the girls sometimes prefer to use paint brushes and then their fingers. It washes up really well - on skin and clothes!

You always have the greatest ideas for your kids. Every time I check your blog, you do some cool project or activity for/with your kids. Good work, and I need some of those ideas.

P.S. your family picture is super cute!

I can't believe how big your girls are. What great pictures they made! Do your travel plans through Boise include seeing us? That would be awesome!

I love the blog. I don't get too much time to play on it so I am so glad that it keeps running for awhile so I can catch up. The pictures are great and the flying was pretty funny. Can't wait to see you. Are Kelly and Amber invited to the wedding? Can I bring Bailey?

Love,

Grandma Dee
