The Trek

Jeremy planned our route back to Alaska for the summer. We're taking a different way home than we took on the drive down to Kansas so we can visit family and friends in Utah and Idaho (and to avoid Saskatchewan...that was like watching paint dry!). It all adds up to 4,479 miles and we plan for about at least a week on the road starting the NIGHT of May 17. We're getting excited! Now we just need to find a place to live...

I'm so excited to see you guys! You are more than welcome to camp out here for a couple days when you first get here...or whatever. We have a motorhome (that we share with Mike's step-bro's family), but we will at least have room in the house for you if need be. Let me know...and I haven't heard from my friend yet about the house... I'll keep you posted though.

Can't wait to see you!

We can more than likely get you temporary housing for you here on the base like we have and it's only $50 a night. And if we can't we can probably get you a hotel here on the base for $30 a night. Let's us know and we will see what we can do.

Wow! That is a long drive. You would definitely have to break it up to make it doable. I didn't know you had friends/family in Boise. We will actually be there then so if you needed somewhere to crash...let us know. We will miss you guys this summer.

We are excited for your visit! Your drive sounds like such a fun adventure! And what a beautiful drive it will be that time of year. It is hard to imagine the snow being gone around here. It has been a long winter and way too long since we've see the grass! The extra sunlight has sure been nice lately.
Yes, I am up for the Midnight Sun Run! Dan and I are doing a 5K "Beat Beethoven" run the first part of April. I don't know if I'll beat Beethoven or not but I am going to try! Maybe we can get together and go running a few times once you get up here.
Benson is going to be soooo excited to see Madeline!
See you soon!
