82 Degrees

I have tried and tried to upload photos to no avail. We're using someone's unsecured wireless network and it's just too weak to get pictures on here. Just wanted you to know we're still alive...We've been enjoying our looooong visits with family and friends the past week. For our non-Alaska friends, the sun doesn't set up here in the North and it seems to have really thrown us off. The kids are out playing until 11pm and then are sometimes up at 6am...it's been tiring. We just don't realize how much time has passed while sitting outside chatting it up! Today we spent hours at a pond fishing, canoeing, playing in the mud, barbequeing and even getting a bit of a sunburn.

It was hotter here in North Pole than Topeka today. Yup, we reached a beautiful 82 degrees.

I think having the sun up all night would throw me off as well. I glad you're having fun!

I love it!! But you're right, it throws the kids off completely because they're like, "It's not bed time, it's still light outside." lol! When do you get down to Anch? Can't wait to see you guys!

I'm so jealous that you guys are up there! I was just thinking today how much I missed the 24 hours of daylight! And, 82 degrees! That's awesome for up there! Tell those we know hello for us. I wish we were there too.

Crazy...you just always think the north pole should be cold. Sounds like you guys are having a great time.
