Merry Christmas

Due to the blizzard going on outside our cozy little nest, we were unable to make our traditional drive around town to view Christmas lights. This blizzard, however, did not stop us from bundling up and going for a stroll as a family this afternoon.

Jeremy carried Abbie on his shoulders, Maddie walked (and stopped to make snow angels along the way) and I pushed the stroller through inches of snow, eventually needing to drag it behind me. The wind is harsh here, and our cheeks burned from being pelted with snow and ice. Brayton was warm and toasty though, having been covered in layers of gear all topped off with a blanket. Only one nice woman turned her car around to see if we were in distress and needed a ride. Nope, just out for a family walk!

After warming up with hot chocolate at our friends' house, we headed home and enjoyed our own Christmas lights...

May your Christmas be merry and bright!! May the peace and joy from celebrating our Savior's birth be felt in your hearts and homes on this special, sacred day. God bless.
